Gas bills going...up?

BUCKHANNON -- Despite the steadily falling price of natural gas in a mild winter season, Mountaineer Gas Company has asked the W.Va. Public Service Commission for permission to increase rates for approximately 221,000 customers.
The current rate of $9.317 per MCF would increase to $9.563 if the company's request is approved by the PSC.

County admin returning to old job

BUCKHANNON -- After about six months as the county administrator, Kelley Cunningham is returning to the position she left.
Commissioners accepted Cunningham's resignation as county administrator effective Jan. 31 and, following a brief executive session with prosecuting attorney David Godwin, approved her employment as an assistant prosecuting attorney at $75,600. This salary is comparable to what she was making before.
