BUCKHANNON -- The Buckhannon Police Department has arrested several individuals for drug-related offenses in recent days.
Mark Gasper, 50, of Buckhannon, was arrested Monday night for delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, within 1,000 feet of a school, according to the criminal complaint in the Upshur County Magistrate Clerk's office.

BUCKHANNON -- In an effort to safeguard pets and people in the area, the Animal Care and Control Commission has recommended council modify the 14-year-old ordinance from which the commission gets its namesake.
Commissioners met last month and made changes regarding breed-specific language, tethering, the complaint process for dangerous dog declaration and pets at public events.

BUCKHANNON -- Two men wanted in connection with a shooting in Elkins were apprehended peacefully Wednesday afternoon in Upshur County.
