BUCKHANNON -- After 32 years as a volunteer firefighter, a local man handed in his resignation letter earlier this year.
Actually, Dave Long handed it in twice because fire chief Mitch Tacy said he wasn't ready to accept it the first time and asked Long to reconsider.

BUCKHANNON -- West Virginia grown berries went fast at a tent set up by the West Virginia Department of Agriculture.
Of the 160 pints that were offered, all were gone by the end of the Fireman's Parade Friday night.

BUCKHANNON -- West Virginian-grown strawberries will once again be sold during the Strawberry Festival.
Beginning today at 10 a.m. there will be two tents this year -- one in front of the Upshur County Courthouse and the second across from Smoker Friendly on Kanawha Street on Saturday, according to W.Va. Department of Agriculture spokesperson Buddy Davidson.
