City council discusses cable rate increase coming Dec. 2

BUCKHANNON — Cable rates are going up for Suddenlink customers.

Both the Buckhannon City Council and Upshur County Commission received letters from Michael Kelemen, director of government relations, regarding the increases.

Effective Dec. 2, expanded basic service will increase $3.50 per month; HBO Cinemax will increase $1.50 per month; Showtime and Stars will increase $1 per month; monthly modem rental price will increase to $5 per month; certain bundles without a guaranteed rate will crease by $5 per month; and phone and Internet prices in certain promotional packages will increase by $3 per month.
