BUCKHANNON — Upshur County Humane Society is revving up for the cold winter months ahead.
In recent years the facility has undergone a number of improvements thanks to the generous support of the community, according to president Penny Butcher.
“If it weren’t for the people who donated supplies and money, we may not still be open,” she said. “We appreciate all the efforts.”
To make it through another winter, the humane society has put together a winter wish list.
By far, the two largest expenses are vet bills and cat litter, according to Butcher.
