MURDER INDICTMENTS

Posted: Thursday, Jan 17th, 2013

BUCKHANNON — Two of the men involved in an alleged murder-for-hire plot were indicted by an Upshur County Grand Jury on Monday.

Jessie Lee Heater, 29, of Buckhannon, and Robert Eugene Siron III, 30, of Weston were indicted for murder, a felony; concealment of a deceased human body, a felony; and two counts of conspiracy.

According to previous testimony, the pair allegedly killed Joshua Oberg, 29, by shooting him one time and then stabbing him on Jan. 23, 2012. Siron and Heater then allegedly put Oberg’s body into a pickup truck, stopped for a shovel at Lowe’s and then buried him in a remote location off of Abbott Road.

The body was discovered in July, six months after Oberg was first reported missing.

Missing from the indictments was Rodolfo “Chino” Villagomez Correa, 32, of Buckhannon, the man who allegedly paid for the murder of Oberg because he found out Oberg was sleeping with his wife.

Prosecuting Attorney Jake Reger said his office is still working on the Villagomez case. Villagomez was arrested for being an accessory before or after the fact to murder.
