The West Virginia Wildlife Center continues cleanup from Superstorm Sandy, which hit Oct. 29, 2012. The center is open to the public currently but will be forced to close the exhibit path when new fencing is installed. There is free admission at the center through March 31. Pictured above top, the center’s mountain lion yawns while resting in its enclosure on a recent sunny Saturday afternoon. Above left, a wild turkey came right up to the fence to pose for this photograph. Above right is one of the many trees damaged at the center.
