BUCKHANNON — The two men indicted in an alleged murder-for-hire plot could go to trial this spring.
On Friday, Judge Thomas Keadle set a trial date of April 30 for Jessie Lee Heater, 29, of Buckhannon, and Robert Eugene Siron III, 30, of Weston.
Prosecuting Attorney Jake Reger requested that the two be tried together, and Keadle agreed. However, since Keadle is retiring Jan. 31, he said that a new judge may choose to have the two men tried separately.
Heater and Siron were arrested in July for their roles in the alleged murder of Joshua Oberg, 29. Last Monday, each man was indicted for murder, a felony; concealment of a deceased human body, a felony; and two counts of conspiracy.
Jury selection will be held just prior to the trial and a pre-trial conference will be held April 4.
