Board of Education extends comment period on proposal

BUCKHANNON — The Upshur County Board of Education agreed to accept comments on a proposed social media policy until its first meeting in February.

President Teresa Bellamy said, “We’ve had numerous comments on that and what I would like to do is extend the comment period until our next meeting, which is Feb. 12. I feel like if we extend the comment period on the first reading, that would be very beneficial.”

The policy addresses communication between Upshur County Schools’ employees, between students and employees and with the public.
