Man faces sexual abuse, incest charges

BUCKHANNON — A Buckhannon man was indicted in Barbour County this week for the alleged incest and sexual abuse of a family member.

Shawn Steven Ware, 34, was indicted for sexual abuse in the first degree, incest, and sexual abuse by a parent, guardian or custodian, according to the indictment from the Barbour County Circuit Court.

In April 2012 in Barbour County, Ware allegedly engaged in sexual contact with a minor child less than 12 years old, according to the first count of the indictment.
