Mike Ross donates $20,000 to West Virginia Wesleyan

Local businessman Mike Ross donated $20,000 to the West Virginia Wesleyan College’s nursing program. BUCKHANNON — “There is a such a demand for good nurses and West Virginia Wesleyan College offers a great program to educate these young people.”

Mike Ross made those remarks during a ceremony Monday morning at Wesleyan’s Middleton Hall after donating $20,000 to the college’s nursing program. Ross, a local businessman and longtime supporter of Wesleyan, presented the check to president Pamela Balch in front of the newly named Senator Mike Ross Conference Room in the Howard D. Naylor and Audrey Holden Naylor Nursing Simulation Lab.

Ross said he made the donation in part because of the growing need locally for health care employees.
