GRAFTON — Terrible field conditions didn’t slow down Buckhannon-Upshur’s Lady Bucs very much here Thursday night in their 7-0 Big Ten Conference triumph over Grafton’s Lady Bearcats.
The Lady Bucs started the scoring with just four minutes elapsed in the contest when Emily Godwin played a through ball in he middle of the field to Hannah Stankus for the shot.
Following a 20-minute lapse, the Lady Bucs went on a three-goal spree during the next four minutes. At the 24th minute, Taylor Starkey collected a ball that wasn’t cleared when it came off the goalkeeper and put in the rebound.
Two minutes later, Starkey sent in a throw-in to the corner to Godwin, who beat the defense and crossed to Jessica Fernoti for the goal.
