BUCKHANNON — The men’s and women’s soccer teams at West Virginia Wesleyan College scored a combined 11 goals in a pair of wins over the weekend. The Bobcats steamrolled Millersville (Pa.) 6-2 on the road, while the Lady ‘Cats easily handled Ohio Valley at home, winning 5-0.
Both games were played Saturday.
The Wesleyan men scored four second-half goals on their way to victory over the host Marauders in an Atlantic Region contest.
Sam Turner put Wesleyan in front 1-0 with a goal 15 minutes into the game, but Millersville’s Jeremy Robbins knotted the game at 1-1 nine minutes later. Jordan Halpern found the back of the net with seven minutes left in the first half to put the ‘Cats back on top 2-1 at intermission.
