B-U boys win, girls take second at debut swim meet

ELKINS — The Buckhannon-Upshur boys swim team swept all three relay events Saturday in their season-opening meet and distanced themselves from their competition in a first-place finish at the Autumn Invitational.

B-U junior Steven Wilson led the Bucs with a pair of impressive individual-event wins and swam on two of the Bucs’ winning relay teams, helping the Bucs rack up 172 points in boys events. The Lady Bucs tallied 154 points, placing them just five points behind first-place Elkins for a runner-up finish.
