BUCKHANNON — The West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcats erased a 16-point halftime deficit, but came up short in overtime Thursday in a 71-67 loss to the Lady Mountain Cats of Pitt-Johnstown.

Wesleyan trailed 41-25 at halftime, but held UPJ to just 17 second-half points and fourced 14 turnovers in the period, knotting the game with 40 seconds left on a 3-pointer from Allie Browne. Another 3-pointer by Browne opened the overtime scoring and gave the Lady Bobcats their first lead since the opening minutes of the first half, but UPJ reeled off a 10-1 run and never trailed through the rest of the extra period.
