FAIRMONT — Five Buckhannon-Upshur wrestlers earned place-winning positions in their weight classes Saturday, leading the Buccaneers to a seventh-place team finish at the annual Winner’s Choice Tournament.
B-U juniors Seth Cutright, competing in the 152-pound weight class, and Daniel Nolte, competing in the 220-pound bracket, advanced all the way to Saturday’s final round and earned tournament runner-up honors. B-U junior Dakota Linger and freshman Brandon Tenney claimed third-place finishes and Tyler Demastes placed seventh, as the Bucs tied with Musselman in seventh place, scoring 116 points.
