DUNMORE — The same team that the Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers defeated in their home opener by 23 points got even with the Bucs with a win on their own home court Saturday.
The Pocahontas County Warriors earned a split of their non-conference season series against the Bucs with a 48-46 overtime win Saturday. The Warriors held the Bucs to just 35 percent shooting from the field and B-U shot just 8-for-20 from the free-throw line in the second half and overtime period.
With the loss, the Bucs fell to 1-13 heading into Tuesday’s scheduled home game against the Preston Knights. They will travel to North Marion for their second Big Ten Conference outing in three days tomorrow night.For the complete article see the 01-23-2013 issue.
