TENNERTON — The Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers went on a 19-0 second-half run Tuesday to snap a 14-game losing streak and earn their first Big Ten Conference basketball win of the season in a 58-42 win over Liberty.
The Bucs trailed the Mountaineers 29-26 mid-way through the third quarter, but scored 12 points in the paint and five from the free-throw line during their decisive run, which spanned 7:32 of game time over the third and fourth quarters. On the other end of the court, the Bucs allowed only four field goals over the final 11 minutes of play.
