ATHENS — The West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats suffered a field-goal drought of more than 15 minutes in their sixth straight loss, a 58-52 setback Monday at Concord.
Wesleyan opened the second half on a 10-4 run capped by back-to-back 3-pointers from Caleb Ashley and Noah Cottrill, handing them a 41-36 lead with 16:31 left to play. However, the host Mountain Lions shut out the Bobcat offense for the next 14 minutes and did not allow a field goal until Kelsey Williams scored a layup with 1:33 remaining and the ‘Cats trailing by double digits.
