KUTZTOWN, Pa. — A former state tournament place-winner as a member of the Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneer wrestling team has qualified to compete on the national level at the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships.
Ohio Valley University junior Chase Long, a 2010 B-U grad and a Class AAA third-place winner during his senior season as a member of the Bucs, finished runner-up at 197 pounds at the recent NCAA Division II Super Region I Championships. Long became the first national qualifier in the three-year history of the OVU wrestling program.
