B-UMS softball team ready for 2013 season

TENNERTON — Despite the loss of the pitching staff and three of the top hitters, the outlook for the 2013 Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School Little Lady Buc softballers still looks pretty bright.

Coach Jim Gregory has 11 players, including several starters, returning from the 2012 squad that posted a 10-5 record. That group shows five eighth graders and six seventh graders.

The eighth-grade veterans are catcher-first baseman Makayla Reynolds, outfielder-catcher Lauren Louk, pitcher-third baseman Ginny Suder, outfielder Cassie Arey and outfielder Chelsea Queen.
