BUCKHANNON — Coach Jackie Zuliani mixed things up in a home meet last Tuesday, but her Lady Buccaneer track and field team still cruised to a first-place finish amongst seven local squads.
Emily Godwin tried her legs at the sprints, winning both the 100-meter dash (13.14 seconds) and 200-meter dash (27.15) while also leaping 5 feet, 9 inches to win the high jump. She rounded out a solid gold afternoon with a blistering 46.38 run in the 300-meter hurdles.
Fellow B-U senior Lauren Cvechko led a 1-2-3 sweep in the 100-meter hurdles, clocking a 16.31 to edge teammates Courtney Reed (17.51) and Katy Riley (17.94).
