Quarterback camp champ

BUCKHANNON — Even after ending a full season of high school basketball, and while his team’s scholastic baseball season was in full swing, one three-sport athlete from Buckhannon-Upshur High School kept his sights set on the gridiron this past spring.

B-U rising junior Dillon Gaudet — who competed on the Bucs’ football, boys basketball and baseball teams during his sophomore year — traveled across the Mid-Atlantic last spring to compete in National Underclassmen Combine (NUC) football camps.

And, by capturing a prestigious award at one of those showcases, Gaudet earned a spot at one of the five invitation-only NUC events held across the country this month.
