Violet Matilda McCardle

BUCKHANNON — Violet Matilda McCardle, 79, of Buckhannon, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born Jan. 6, 1933 a daughter of the late Harvey Kitchen and Mary Hollen Fortney. On Nov. 4, 1967 she married George McCardle who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, George McCardle Jr. and wife Joann; Joseph Cutright and girlfriend Patty Logsdon all of Buckhannon and John Cutright and wife Kim of Moundsville; two daughters, Elizabeth Pebley and husband Dave of Pennsylvania and Vickie Cutright of Buckhannon; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and one brother, George Kitchen and wife Mary Alice of Virginia.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death one daughter, Georgia Scott and 12 brothers and sisters. Mrs. McCardle was a homemaker.
