PHILIPPI — Paul Thomas (Crane) Maxson, 48, a resident of Century, W.Va. passed away Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 at his residence. He was born July 18,1964 in Philippi,W.Va. a son of the late Richard L. and Virginia (Kanouff) Maxson.
He was united in marriage on Dec. 17, 2005 to Sharon Sue (MacEwan) Maxson, who survives at Century.
Also surviving are one daughter Stephanie Maxson of Hodgesville, W.Va.; two stepdaughters, Missy Drost and Diana Hunte, both of Buckhannon; three stepsons, Donald Sullivan, Ross Sullivan and Josh Sullivan, all of Carrolton, W.Va.; one sister, Mary Smith and husband Rob of Tennessee; one ex-sister-in law, Mary (Green) Maxson of Volga, W.Va.; three brothers, Joseph(Joe) Maxson and wife Cindi of Philippi, W.Va., Richard (Dickie) Maxson and wife Lorrie of Clarksburg, W.Va. and Eric Michael (Mike) Maxson and wife Rebecca of Maryland; two grandchildren, Logan Sullivan and Azaria Maxson; two step-grandchildren, Kloe Sullivan and Gavin Bolyard; several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews
Maxson was a dispatcher at Wolf Run Mining Company and Arch Coal Company. He was a 10-year member of the Barbour County Mine Rescue Team.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 North Walnut Street, Philippi, today, Jan. 16, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Jan. 17 from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m., the service hour with the Rev. Mildred Endrizzi officiating.
Interment will follow at the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
