Edna Maxwell

BUCKHANNON — Edna Maxwell, 69, of Buckhannon, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at the Glenville Care and Rehabilitation Center in Glenville. She was born June 24, 1943 in Orlando, W.Va., a daughter of the late Frank and Nina Alta Shipman Skinner.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Williams; second husband, Frank Shumaker; third husband Ron Maxwell and her sister, Anna Louise Crutchfield.

She is survived by one son, Terry Williams and wife Sarah Darlene; one daughter April Golden and fiancé Anthony Bailey all of Buckhannon; two grandsons Benjamin Williams of Buckhannon and Cody Lee Golden and fiancée Kammie Ware of Belington; one granddaughter, Jessica Golden of Buckhannon; two sisters Mary Alice Ryan of Alton, and Virginia D. Bennett of Mesa, Ariz.; one brother Charles Skinner and wife Edna of Mabie; one special niece, Darlena Crutchfield of Colo. and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Maxwell was a telephone operator for Verizon and was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America Chapter 42. She attended the South Buckhannon Mission Church and was also a Salvation Army volunteer. Friends will be received Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Orlando Cemetery in Lewis County. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
