Steven Gregory Sayre

TENNERTON — Steven Gregory Sayre, 53, of French Creek, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. He was born Oct. 4, 1959, in Upshur County, a son of Troy O. Sayre and the late Lucille Pearl Tenney Sayre.

He is survived by his wife Elsie Deloris Browning Sayre. Also surviving is one daughter Leslie Marie and husband Charles Michael Withrow of Buckhannon and one son Matthew Justin Sayre of French Creek. One sister Donna L. Lewis and husband Mike of French Creek survive along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one brother Michael Troy Sayre and one sister Barbara L. Collins.

Mr. Sayre was a partner in the Sayre Logging Company.

Graveside services will be held at the Pleasant Dale Cemetery today, Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral chapel to aid the family with funeral expenses.
