Parley Ervin Humphrey

TENNERTON — Parley Ervin Humphrey, 76, of Rt. 1, Crawford, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was born April 15, 1936, in Upshur County, a son of the late James E. and Eva Riley Humphrey.

In addition to his father and mother he was preceded in death by sisters Virgie Meeks, Flossie L. Humphrey and infant Elda Humphrey; brothers Filbert C. Humphrey and Harley C. Humphrey.

He is survived by four brothers Troy G. and wife Barbara Humphrey of Crawford, Mintor J. Humphrey of Buckhannon and Maynard D. and wife Thelma Humphrey of Manassas, Va., also several nieces and nephews survive.

Mr. Humphrey was known as the “Honey Man,” he enjoyed giving his family and friends honey from his bees.

The family is honoring Mr. Humphrey’s wishes for cremation. There will be no services.
