A.B. “Bud” Guthrie

TENNERTON — A.B. “Bud” Guthrie, 65, of Rock Cave, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2012 at the Louis A. Johnson V.A. Medical Center in Clarksburg. He was born in Uniontown, Pa., January 27, 1947, a son of the late Arley B. Guthrie and is survived by his mother, Helene Faye Garbutt Harwood, of Fairchance, Pa.
He was united in marriage on August 23, 1965 to Nancy Smiley Guthrie, who survives. In addition to his mother and his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Amy Caprice Harrison of Maryland; three sons, John Robert Guthrie of Georgia, David Michael Guthrie of Florida, Joe Taylor of West Virginia; 12 grandchildren; Hannah, Robert, Delaney, Alexandria, William, Joshua, Ashley, Brianna, Andrew, Christian, Crysta and Carmen; two brothers, Ira Skolnick of West Virginia and Bradford Guthrie of Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Cameron and one sister, J.A.
Mr. Guthrie was a dreamer and a chaser of rainbows. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the West Virginia National Cemetery.
