CLARKSBURG — Mrs. Luella Pearl Zickefoose, 84, of Buena Vista Avenue, Clarksburg,passed away at 1:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at the Clarksburg Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in Clarksburg, February 23, 1928, a daughter of the late Joseph E. Hinkle, Sr. and Mae Elizabeth Carpenter Hinkle.
Surviving are: her husband, Charles Willard Zickefoose Sr., whom she married Aug. 16, 1947, a son & daughter-in-law, Charles W.”Chuck” Zickefoose Jr., wife Brenda, Clarksburg, one daughter, Susan Nutter, Lost Creek, a son-in-law, Ronald Sandy, Akron, Ohio, a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Dianna Hinkle, Good Hope, a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Thomas L. Snyder, Clarksburg, 10 grandchildren and spouses, Kathy Moneypenny, Melissa and Bob Errington, Matthew and Amy Sandy, Kristi Childers, Amanda Nutter, Beth and Matt Wright, Jeremy Zickefoose, Josh and Jennifer Zickefoose, Emma and Shawn Taylor and
Sarah Zickefoose, 14 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Zickefoose was also preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ellen Sandy, a brother, Joseph Ernest Hinkle, Jr., a son-in-law, Larry Chester Nutter and a grandson-in-law, James “Jimbo” Childers.
Luella was a member of the Oak Mound Evangelical Church in Clarksburg.
She was a graduate of Washington Irving High School – Class of 1946 and of the Clarksburg Business College. Luella enjoyed quilting, hand embroidering, reading, her dogs and spending time with her family. She was a retired employee of the United Hospital Center business office with over 30 years of service.
Friends were received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East Main St., Clarksburg from 2-8 p.m. on Monday, where a funeral service was held on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend O. D. Harman presiding. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
