Watts celebrate 60th anniversary

BUCKHANNON — Charles and Barbara Watts celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary recently with a weekend at Stonewall Resort. Their five children and their spouses joined in the joyous occasion, which included a limosine ride to the Wonder Bar Steakhouse in Clarksburg for a Saturday night dinner.

Charlie and Barbara were married Nov. 29, 1952 at Winchester, Va., with the Rev. Edger Hill performing the ceremony at the Methodist Church. Barbara’s best friend, Alice Newman, attended as witness.

The Watts’ who live at 22 Marion St., Buckhannon, have been blessed with one daughter, Diane Tuggle, of Hinkleville, and four sons, David and Douglas, both of Richmond, Va., Charles Jr., of Lynchburg, Va., and Daniel, of Bridgeport.
