Chamber hires new executive director

BUCKHANNON — The new executive director of the Buckhannon-Upshur Chamber of Commerce is ready to lead the organization into the new year and beyond.

Kathleen Moore is originally from Michigan, growing up in a small town of 800 people where she lived for the first 22 years of her life.

“I love small towns,” she said. “Even though I was born in Detroit, truly I am a farm girl.”

Moore has a background in marketing and development, having held several positions in that field.
