TENNERTON — The Buckhannon-Upshur Lady Buccaneers suffered from an offensive drought in the second half of their 2012-13 basketball season opener, allowing the Elkins Lady Tigers to end the night on a 10-3 run and win the game, 34-27.
B-U forward Kelsey Hinzman led all scorers Wednesday with 13 points, but the Lady Bucs shot just 18.9 percent from the field for the game, including a 4-for-29 shooting performance in the second half. The Lady Bucs also saw turnovers pile up in the second half, finishing the game with 25 giveaways.
