GLENVILLE — The West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats ended a week of ups and downs with their first WVIAC win of the season Saturday, defeating the Glenville State Pioneers on the road, 82-72.
Wesleyan forward Kelsey Williams exploded for a double-double Saturday, scoring a game-high 24 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Three Wesleyan guards joined Williams in double figures, with Noah Cottrill scoring 15 points to go along with a game-high six assists, Caleb Ashley following with 13 and Soren Dossing scoring 11 off the bench.
Wesleyan ended the first half on a 12-0 run to take a 37-30 halftime lead, with Ashley knocking down a pair of 3-pointers in the final two minutes of the half.
