Teacher sentenced on sexual assault charges

BUCKHANNON — The former teacher who pled guilty to three counts of sexual assault in the third degree of a 14-year-old female will be required to register as a sex offender for life, according to Prosecuting Attorney Jake Reger.

Thomas Brian Lamb, 50, of Buckhannon, was sentenced to one to five years in the penitentiary on each of his three convictions for third-degree sexual assault, according to Reger. The sentences will run consecutively.

Lamb had pleaded guilty in September to the three counts.
