TENNERTON — A fourth-quarter comeback ended in overtime disappointment Saturday for the Buckhannon-Upshur Lady Buccaneers, as the visiting Hampshire Lady Trojans won a back-and-forth battle between sectional rivals, 43-37.
B-U trailed by as many as eight points in the fourth quarter, facing a 31-23 deficit with 4:58 left in regulation, but went on an 11-0 run to take a 34-31 lead with 32 seconds left. But Hampshire’s Mary Feaster hit a game-tying 3-pointer with 18 seconds left, accounting for the final three of her game-high 16 points, and the Lady Trojans outscored B-U 9-3 in the extra period.
