PITTSBURGH — The Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers finished sixth out of eight elite wrestling teams from around the Mid-Atlantic Region and one B-U wrestler won a tournament title Saturday at the Pittsburgh Central Catholic Invitational.
B-U junior Daniel Nolte won both of his matches in the 220-pound weight class Saturday, winning first-place honors in his bracket and leading the Bucs to a team score of 120 points. Brandon Tenney in the 106-pound weight class and Dakota Linger at 132 pounds also won tournament runner-up honors at an event featuring teams from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Ohio.
