James A. “Jim” Lewis

BUCKHANNON — James A. “Jim” Lewis, 62, of Turkey Run Road, Buckhannon, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa.

He was born on March 19, 1950, in Buckhannon, a son of the late R.H. and Ruby Lucinda Lewis.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Davis Lewis; one daughter Betsy Louise Lewis Cole of Buckhannon; one son James Daniel Lewis of Buckhannon; three grandchildren: Savanna, Candice, and Ethan Cole; six sisters: Marie LeFever, Sue Walters, and Jean Brown, all of Pennsylvania, Nellie Thomas, Lee Morris and Margaret Moore all of Buckhannon; and one brother Kelsel Lewis of Oceana, W.Va. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by one grandchild Gabriel Cole.

Mr. Lewis was retired from work in the coal mines and was a volunteer for the Special Olympics.
