BUCKHANNON — One of the men accused in a murder-for-hire plot in Upshur County has been indicted in federal court for allegedly purchasing firearms as an illegal immigrant in the United States.

Rodolfo “Chino” Villagomez Correa, 32, of Buckhannon, was indicted by a federal grand jury sitting in U.S. District Court in Elkins on Tuesday.

The indictment alleges that Villagomez lied about his status as a United States citizen on his application for firearms purchased from Jerry’s Sporting Goods in Lewis County in 2011.
