Lady Bucs swim to third, B-U boys eighth at Brooke

WELLSBURG — Buckhannon-Upshur sophomore swimmer Maggie Miller remained undefeated in individual events on the season and set a new meet record last Friday, leading the Lady Buccaneers to a third-place team finish at the Brooke Winter Invitational.

Miller won the same events in which she won state titles during her freshman season at the team’s final competition of 2012, clocking 25.59 seconds in the 50 freestyle and a meet-record time of 55.56 in the 100 freestyle.
