Bucs go 7-1, place second at Super Duals

TOURNAMENT RUNNERS-UP —The Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers wrestling team won team runner-up honors last weekend at the Fort Hill (Md.) Super Duals tournament, where they posted a 7-1 team record against competition from Maryland, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. CUMBERLAND, Md. — Eight Buckhannon-Upshur wrestlers finished in the top three in their weight classes and five Bucs won their divisions outright last weekend, helping the B-U team earn a second-place overall finish at the Fort Hill (Md.) Super Duals.

Brandon Tenney, Dakota Linger, Matt Fair and Seth Cutright won their respective weight classes with undefeated 8-0 records at the two-day event and Ethan Hull also came in first in the 113-pound weight class, where he went 6-2.

Daniel Nolte finished the tournament 7-1 to place second at 220 pounds and Tyler Demastes and Will Baxa both posted 6-2 records, with Baxa claiming second place in the 160-pound weight class and Demastes finishing third at 120 pounds.
