Linda Lou Osborne

JANE LEW — Linda Lou Osborne, 72, of 251 Hidden Meadow Lane, Jane Lew passed away at 8:19 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 in the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston, following an extended illness.

She was born Aug. 18, 1940 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late James and Freda Halterman Westfall.

On March 8, 1958, she married Billy “Cookie” Osborne who survives. Also surviving are one son, Stephen Michael Osborne and wife Patti of LaPlata Md.; two daughters: Tammy Waple and husband Kenneth of Jane Lew, and Cara James of Jane Lew; one brother Calvin Westfall and wife Charlene of Ocala Fla.; and one sister Janet Sebring and husband John of Winston Salem N.C.; Seven grandchildren: Ryan and Aaron Waple, Amber Hanbury, Allison Osborne, Carrie Wiemer, Kayleigh and Taylor James; five great-grandchildren: Cassie, Callie, Kendyll, Ryleigh and Alexa.

She was preceded in death by three sisters: Rosemary Harris, Charlene Deane and Pamela Westfall.

Linda was retired as an executive assistant from Loundon County Hospital in Leesburg Va. and Winchester Medical Center in Winchester Va. She attended the Horizon Church in Lost Creek and the Bendale United Methodist Church in Weston.

She was a huge Redskins football fan, enjoyed traveling with her husband “Cookie” with Babe Ruth baseball and loved listening to gospel music. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Cookie and Linda while living in Clinton Md., were very active with the Clinton and Camp Springs Boys and Girls Club.

Friends called at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service at 144 Hackers Creek Rd. Jane Lew on Tuesday, Jan. 15 from 4-8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Jan. 16 from the Pat Boyle Funeral Home with Reverend Becky Vanstavern, Reverend Stephen Felder and Reverend Ron Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored and privileged to serve the family.
