Oilfield Trucking Solutions leaving county

BUCKHANNON — A trucking company which is a subsidiary of Chesapeake Energy Corporation will permanently close its facility in Buckhannon by the end of February.

Oilfield Trucking Solutions, located on the Old Weston Road, is closing its doors locally.

Chris Broussard, president of Oilfield Trucking Solutions, said in a statement, “Oilfield Trucking Solutions will move its operations that service the southern Marcellus Shale area from Buckhannon to Beech Bottom, W.Va. In order to be competitive and maintain continuity, we must be located in close proximity to the activity in the play.
