WESTON — Gregory John Lane, 33, of 243 Grass Run Road, Weston, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013 following a brief illness. He was born on March 13, 1979 in Buckhannon, a son of R. Hugh Lane and the late Nancy Lou (Francis) Lane who preceded him in death on April 18, 1990.
In addition to his father Greg is survived by two brothers Timothy Scott Lane and wife Kelley of Belington and Jeffery Shawn Lane and wife Jamie of Horner. Also surviving are three special nieces Haley Truman, Brooklyn Lane, Megan Lane, and a special nephew Matthew Lane.
Greg was a gifted mechanic he loved to work on anything that had a motor. He was employed by the West Virginia Department of Highways in Buckhannon. Greg loved the great outdoors he was an avid fisherman, deer hunt, camper, boating enthusiast, loved to ride four-wheelers, and loved riding on his vintage Honda Shadow motor cycle.
Greg also liked to go to the different auctions around town. Greg also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.
Family will receive friends at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 North Main Avenue, Weston, on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013 from 4 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013 from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. with Reverend Carolyn Nettles officiating.
