TENNERTON — The Preston Knights jumped out to a 20-8 first-quarter lead Tuesday and added to their advantage throughout Tuesday’s Big Ten Conference contest, defeating the Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers 67-38.
Preston’s man-to-man defensive pressure forced the Bucs into 16 turnovers, allowing the Knights to gain an 18-2 advantage in fast-break points and a 40-20 edge in points in the paint. Preston improved to 11-2 overall and 7-0 in the Big Ten with the win, while sending the Bucs to their 13th straight loss.
