JOHNSTOWN, Pa. — Saturday’s WVIAC women’s basketball matchup between the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats and the host Pitt-Johnstown Lady Mountain Cats stood tied in the final minute before the league’s second-leading scorer poured in the game’s final four points.
Pitt-Johnstown guard Kaitlynn Fratz drained a 3-pointer with 37 seconds remaining, then tacked on a free throw with 18 seconds left to score the decisive points in the Lady Mountain Cats’ 57-53 win. Fratz, who averages 20.5 points per game scored a game-high 24 points to help UPJ improve to fifth place in the league standings at 10-7 overall and 8-6 in conference play.
