Bobcats dip below .500 with back-to-back losses

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. — Despite a career-high 32 points from Kelsey Williams, the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats dropped below the .500 mark in their fourth straight defeat, a 78-64 loss to the host Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cats.

Williams posted his 11th double-double of the season Saturday, shooting 14-for-20 from the field and 4-for-4 from the free-throw line to tally his 32 points and grabbing a game-high 11 rebounds.

Noah Cottrill joined Williams in double figures with 14 points, but balanced scoring and sweet shooting made the difference for Pitt-Johnstown.

Nick Novak scored 23 points to go along with five assists and three steals, leading UPJ to their third straight win. Jordan Miller followed with 16 points and Bill Luther added 12, as the Mountain Cats improved to 11-7 overall and 7-7 in the WVIAC.
