BUCKHANNON — Myron D. Tenney, 88, of Buckhannon, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013 at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins. He was born May 16, 1924 in Buckhannon, a son of the late Robert Allen and Emma Jane Mills Tenney. On June 5, 1946 he married Collene J. Miller who preceded him in death on Oct. 2, 2006.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two brothers, Delphis and Victor Tenney and one sister, Loueda Tallman.
He is survived by three sons, Dennis Leo Tenney and wife Chrystalyn of Greenwood, S.C., Robert E. Tenney and wife Arawana of Sand Run, and William P. Tenney and wife Connie R. of Buckhannon; one grandson Robert Paul Tenney of Sand Run; two granddaughters, Lisa McCullough and husband Eric of Lumberport and Bridget Walker and husband Sean of Chengdu, China; three great-granddaughters, Ashley McCullough of Lumberport, Lydia and Rachel Walker both of Chengdu; two great grandsons Ethan and Caleb Walker both of Chengdu and two sisters Alice Garnetta Gooden of Mt. Union and Lorraine Perry of Moundsville.
Mr. Tenney was a farmer and attended Nays Chapel.
Friends were received Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ralph Miller officiating.
