BUCKHANNON — It is no surprise that the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference coaches have picked West Virginia Wesleyan’s Lady Bobcats to win the 2013 softball title.
The Lady ‘Cats, who have captured the last five WVIAC regular-season titles and the past four Tournament championships, received 10 of the 14 first-place votes to compile 190 points.
West Virginia State’s Lady Yellow Jackets, who lost a 3-2 decision to Wesleyan in last year’s tournament championship clash, collected three first-place votes for second place in the annual pre-season poll with 182 points.
