BUCKHANNON — The Buckhannon-Upshur boys and girls swim teams both came in second among a field of regional rivals Saturday in their final tune-up before major postseason meets, hosting the annual Splash Williams Invitational.
Bridgeport won both team titles at the event, held at the West Virginia Wesleyan College pool, totaling 168 points in girls competition and 143 points in boys events. The B-U girls compiled a team score of 115 and the B-U boys scored 93.
Patricia Loughney and Maggie Miller led the Lady Bucs with two individual event wins each, and the B-U sophomores also combined on a pair of second-place relays with Caroline Nanners and Maddie Nanners.
