YEAR-ROUND SCHOOL?

BUCKHANNON — Upshur County Schools is looking at calendar options for next school year, and among the choices is the year-round or balanced calendar option.

“It’s one of the options that they have,” Superintendent Scott Lampinen said. “It’s always been an option.”

For the last couple of years, a balanced calendar proposal has even been given to the calendar committee to look at, according to Lampinen.

“We are no closer to it than we have been,” he said. “We have been discussing it for the past few years.”
