FRENCH CREEK — Six more weeks of winter or an early spring? That will be the question answered this Saturday by West Virginia’s most notorious furry friend — French Creek Freddie.
With Groundhog Day falling on a Saturday, the West Virginia State Wildlife Center and its most famous inhabitant are expecting a record turnout for their annual celebration.
Gates will open at 9 a.m. with French Creek Freddie making his prediction at
10 a.m. Folks are invited to stay and visit the rest of the wildlife center or partake in any of the activities. Admission is free.
